The Kansas Homestead Rehabilitation Corporation (“KHRC,” “we,” “us”) is a Kansas agricultural lender. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide to us directly in connection with a loan application or the administration of a loan: name, contact details (mailing address, email address, phone number), financial and farm-operation information required to evaluate and service a loan, and communications you send us. Loan committee members and staff provide contact details (including mobile phone numbers) so we can send them loan-committee communications.
How we use information
We use this information solely to evaluate, originate, and service loans; to communicate with borrowers, applicants, committee members, and partner agencies (such as the USDA Farm Service Agency) about a specific loan; and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messaging (SMS)
With your consent, we send text messages related to KHRC loan-committee business — for example, a notice that a committee packet has been emailed to you, meeting-scheduling polls, and confirmed meeting times. Consent is collected directly from you when you give KHRC your mobile number for this purpose. Message frequency varies with committee activity. Message and data rates may apply. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to administer a loan (for example, with the USDA Farm Service Agency in connection with a referral or subordination, with our service providers who host the loan portal and deliver email/SMS on our behalf, or as required by law). Service providers may use the information only to provide services to KHRC.
Security & retention
Loan records are stored on encrypted infrastructure with access limited to KHRC staff. We retain loan records as required for legal, audit, and servicing purposes.
